Blast in Baghdad leaves 4 casualties

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: One soldier was killed and another and two civilians wounded when an improvised explosive device attached to a vehicle went off in northern Baghdad on Saturday, an Iraqi police source said. “Unidentified persons attached a sticky IED to the private vehicle of an Iraqi soldier went off near the telephone exchange in al-Aadhamiya neighborhood, northern Baghdad, leaving its owner soldier killed and another in the passenger seat and two civilians wounded and causing severe damage to the vehicle,” the source told Iraqi News. “Security forces sealed off the explosion scene and rushed the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment,” the source added.
