(IraqiNews.com) US Secretary of State John Kerry expressed on Thursday, the United States’ concern about the activities of Hezbollah in Iraq and Yemen, while emphasized his country’s approval of the establishment of the Yemeni political conference in Riyadh.

Kerry said at a press conference with his Saudi counterpart, Adel al-Jubeir in the Saudi capital Riyadh followed by IraqiNews.com, “We are worried about the activities of Hezbollah and Iran in Iraq and Yemen,” pointing out that, “Iran played a negative role in Yemen and has supported the opposition with funds and weapons.”

Kerry added, “We support the Yemeni political conference in Riyadh, and if Houthis agree on a cease-fire, the truce will be extendable,” noting that, “Neither Riyadh nor Washington talked about sending ground troops to Yemen.”
