Bombing targets U.S. patrol in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: An improvised explosive device (IED) on Monday went off near a U.S. army patrol vehicle in Baghdad, according to an Iraqi police source. “A roadside explosive charge detonated in al-Rustmiya area, southeastern Baghdad, while a U.S. army patrol vehicle was passing the location,” the source told Iraqi News. There has been no word on casualties or damage, the source noted. No comment was immediately available from the U.S. side. SS (P) 1
