60% of Baiji’s oil refinery falls in hands of Iraqi forces, says spokesman for Iraqi Volunteer Forces
(IraqiNews.com) Salahuddin – On Saturday, Iraqi Volunteer Forces spokesman said, that 60 percent of Baiji’s refinery has fallen in the hands of the security forces and the volunteer forces.
The spokesman of the Iraqi Volunteer Forces, Karim al-Nawawi, stated for IraqiNews.com “About 60 percent of Baiji’s refinery has fallen in the hands of the security forces and al-Hashed al-Sha’bi; while ISIS cannot hold any ground,” pointing out that, “This dawn, ISIS militants had carried out an attack on the Hamrin Mountains area before they were pushed back and attacked again.”
Al-Nawawi added, “We will participate in any battle and be present wherever ISIS is present. No one can prevent us from entering any area except the general commander of the armed forces.”
