After his visit to US, Barzani arrives in Hungary

(IraqiNews.com) Erbil – The presidency of Kurdistan announced on Monday, that the region’s president Massoud Barzani arrived in Hungary following his visit to the United States, while the media advisor to Barzani’s office noted that the European countries are interested in consolidating relations with Kurdistan.

The presidency of the Kurdish region said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “President Massoud Barzani arrived yesterday to Hungary after concluding his visit to the United States,” indicating that, “Barzani’s visit comes at an official invitation by Budapest.”

For his part, the media advisor in the Office of the President of Kurdistan Kifah Mahmoud stated, “Hungary is one of the European countries concerned with the consolidation of political and economic relations with the Kurdish region,” adding that, “After the Peshmerga forces’ victories over terror and the displacement of approximately two million people of various components to Kurdistan, most countries in the world are impressed by the region’s achievements.”
