(IraqiNews.com) Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi announced on Tuesday, that Baiji’s refinery is under control and has returned to the hands of the Iraqi soldiers who are currently cleansing the district and securing the surrounding areas.

During his speech at the international conference held in Paris, Abadi stated today, “Our forces have attained victory by liberating the province of Salahuddin,” noting that, “The refinery of Baiji has returned to our hands and the district is being cleansed as well as its surrounding areas.”

He added, “Most of Diyali has also been liberated, in addition to liberating important areas in Nineveh by the Peshmerga forces,” pointing out that, “We are now battling ISIS in Ramadi.”
