Iraqi police kills 50 ISIS elements in west of Samarra

(IraqiNews.com) Salah al-Din – A security source in Salah al-Din police announced on Wednesday, that a force from the federal police has launched a surprise attack on ISIS gangs west of Samarra, pointing out that the attack resulted in the destruction of four vehicles and the death of nearly 50 ISIS elements.
The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “security forces belonging to the federal police have launched this morning a surprise attack on ISIS gangs from two axes west of Samarra. The first was from Watban Street and the second towards the south of Leine area, resulting in the destruction of four vehicles belonging to ISIS and the killing of nearly 50 ISIS elements.”
The source, who asked anonymity, added: “the clashes are still ongoing.”
