Iraqi PM heads to Germany to attend G7 summit
(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad- On Sunday, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi left the Iraqi capital Baghdad on his way to Germany to attend the summit of the Group of Seven nations.
An informed source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi left this evening the Iraqi capital Baghdad on his way to Germany to attend the summit of the seven leading industrialized nations, which starts today.”
The source, who asked anonymity, added: “Abadi will meet on the sidelines of the summit a number of heads of states and leaders, especially the US President Barack Obama.”
Abadi’s office said on Saturday that the latter will participate in the summit of the Group of Seven nations, which will held in the German capital Berlin, noting that al-Abadi will discuss further support for Iraq in the face of ISIS.
