Our troops are advancing in Anbar, says Iraqi MP
(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi stressed on Monday that Iraqi forces are advancing strongly in Anbar province and the rest of fronts, while pointed out that the world needs a vigorous and corporate efforts to stop the flow of foreigner “terrorists”, who are causing death and destruction in Iraq and the region.
Abadi said in a speech, during the first session of the summit of the Group of Seven nations, posted on his official website, “The Shia, Sunni Arabs, Kurds, Turkomans , Yazidis, Muslims, Christians, and all components are fighting terrorism together, defending Iraq and its people and territorial integrity.”
Abadi added, “The army, police forces and al-Hashed al-Shaabi militia include all of these components, along with the Peshmerga forces and tribal fighters,” noting that, “these forces have achieved impressive victories over the past few days in Baiji and Tharthar and they advancing strongly in Anbar and the rest of fronts.”
