Police cadets graduate in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: A total of 150 river police personnel have graduated in the Iraqi Shiite province of Basra, the media office of Basra’s police said on Saturday. “The policemen have undergone a 60-day training course, during which they received special training in navigation and the protection of regional waters…,” the office told Iraqi News. The fresh graduates will join river police forces, it added. The Shiite city of Basra lies 590 km south of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. SS (P) 1
