(IraqiNews.com) Sulaymaniyah – Representative of the Democratic Union Party in Kurdistan region, Gharib Hissou, accused on Saturday the Turkish government of covering up ISIS elements within its territory, noting that Turkey is trying to hit the gains of the Kurdish people wherever found.

Hissou said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “the government of Turkey is responsible for what happened in the town of Kobani in an attempt to cover up ISIS elements within its territory and to cover up its failure in Tel Abyad area.”

Hissou added that “Turkey insists on striking gains and the will of the Kurdish people wherever they are,” urging the international community to “arm People’s Protection Units of the party to fight ISIS”.

People’s Protection Units is the paramilitary force of the Kurdish Democratic Union Party of Syria, and was founded in 2012.
