3 KDP guards wounded in Saadiya

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: Three guards of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) were wounded in an attack conducted by gunmen in central Saadiya district, a security source from Diala province said Thursday. “The armed men opened fire targeting the KDP office in central Saadiya, 35 km south of Khanaqeen suburb,” the source told Iraqi News. “The gunmen were able to escape to an unknown place,” he said. A source from the KDP in the district confirmed the attack, and said that the three injured guards were admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Khanaqeen suburb lies 155 km northeast of Baaquba, which is the capital city of Diala province, and lies 57 km northeast of Baghdad. MH (P)/SR 1
