IED wounds 2 civilians in Diala

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: Two civilians on Sunday were injured when an explosive device went off in northern Diala province, according to a local security source. “This afternoon, an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated on the road linking Jaat village to Tabaj area, Jalawlaa district (35 km southwest of Khanaqin) while a civilian vehicle was passing the location,” the source told Iraqi News. “The explosion left two civilians wounded,” the source explained. “One of the wounded is in a critical condition,” the source noted, providing no further details. Khanqin lies 155 km northeast of Baaquba, the capital city of Diala province, which lies 57 km northeast of Baghdad. SS (P) 1
