(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Tuesday,  Iran and the European Union officially announced at a press conference a nuclear agreement between Iran and the six major powers.

EU foreign minister Federica Mogherini said in a joint press conference with the Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif in Vienna, “we were able today to find a solution to an issue, which has remained unresolved for more than ten years, and we have agreed to lift all economic, financial and trade sanctions on Iran,” pointing out that, ” we agreed on an action plan to ensure a peaceful Iranian nuclear program.”

“Iran has confirmed that it will not seek to acquire nuclear weapons, and we cannot summarize the nuclear agreement now,” Mogherini added

It is noteworthy that Iran and the six powers were conducting diplomatic negotiations at the ministerial level for more than two weeks to resolve the ongoing nuclear dispute since 12 years ago.
