 Security forces begin military operation to liberate Anbar University

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – A security source in Anbar province announced on Wednesday, that the security forces began a military operation to liberate Anbar University from the control of ISIS.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “Anti-Terrorism force in cooperation with Iraqi Army Aviation began today a military operation to liberate Anbar University from the control of the organization.”

The source, who asked anonymity, added: “those forces are advancing and began to enter the university,” indicating that, “there are clashes with elements of the organization.”

Noteworthy, Deputy Commander of the Gold Division in Anbar province, Brigadier-General Abdul Amir al-Khazraji, announced that its forces controlled two areas south of the city of Ramadi.
