Iran will not allow division of Iraq and Syria, says Iranian Supreme Leader

(IraqiNews.com) The Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei announced on Monday, that his country will not allow the division of Iraq and Syria, while also noted that Iran supports the resistance in the region as well as the Palestinian resistance.

During a meeting with participants of the assembly of the Ahlul-Bayt organization, Khamenei was quoted by Fars News Agency, as saying: “We will not allow the economic, political and cultural intervention by the United States in the country, and will confront it with full force.”

Khamenei added, “The Americans are trying to extend their influence in the region, but we will not allow them to do so as they seek to divide Iraq and Syria, and this will not be achieved.”

“Iran supports the resistance in the region and the Palestinian resistance,” he asserted.
