Sadr calls on his followers to participate in Friday’s demonstrations in Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) Najaf – On Monday the cleric Muqtada al-Sadr called his followers of the inhabitants of the province of Baghdad to take part in demonstrations next Friday in the capital, while he asked them to call for a reform of the judicial institution.
Sadr said in a statement read by his spokesman Salah al-Obeidi, “We call on the followers of the Sadrist movement to take part in the demonstrations next Friday.”
Sadr explained that “the participation in the demonstrations next Friday is limited to Baghdad‘s residents and only in the capital, ” noting that “participating in other provinces will be in another time; it will be specified in another statement.”
