Vehicles banned in Talafar market

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Security forces have imposed a curfew on vehicles in Talafar’s main market since the early hours of Tuesday morning for fear of possible attacks and acts of violence, according to a local security source. “Local army and police personnel imposed a curfew on civilian vehicles in Talafar’s main market, which stretches from Raas al-Jada to Dawrat al-Qalaa…,” the source told Iraqi News. “The measures came for fear of possible suicide attacks against Umm al-Rabiain services personnel, who are currently receiving their salaries from Talafar’s al-Rafideen Bank,” the source added. Talafar district lies 60 km northwest of Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa province, which lies 405 km north of Baghdad. SS (P) 1
