Erdogan “breaks down” in tears after the sinking of the Syrian child
(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan blamed on Friday the West for the death of Syrian refugees in the Mediterranean.
Erdogan said in a television interview with CNN, “The Western countries bear the responsibility, after they had refused to receive refugees illegally,” noting that, “when we saw the picture of the Syrian child Ilan, me and my grandchildren cried, and we were collapsed.”
Erdogan asked, “Where is the humanity and human consciousness.”
He added that “his country hosts one million refugees from Syria and Iraq, and that countries such as Greece, Hungary, Italy, Spain, France and Germany were able to do such as Turkey.”
