Source: ISIS kidnaps 40 civilians for not lengthening their beards

(Iraqinews.com) Nineveh – According to a local source in Nineveh province, ISIS has kidnapped 40 civilians due to refusing to lengthen their beards in central Mosul, while pointed out that elements of the organization have skinned five others because of smoking cigarettes.

The source told IraqiNews.com, “ISIS militants abducted today 40 civilians from the public markets in Bab Tob, Aleppo Street and the Industrial Zone in central Mosul, because of lack of commitment to lengthen beards and violation of organization instructions,” noting that “Those gunmen transferred the abducted to the prison.”

The source, who asked not to be named, added: “ISIS elements also had flogged five civilians, because of violating the instructions that prohibit smoking cigarettes.”
