 Security forces begin extensive operation to liberate 2 areas in Ramadi

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – A senior security official in Anbar province announced on Tuesday,  that the security forces and al-Hashed al-Shaabi fighters have launched an attack on two areas controlled by the ISIS organization in Ramadi, emphasizing that those troops have arrived to al-Sharaa Garage  area and al-Taqwa Mosque in the city.

The official said in an interview for IraqiNews.com:” the army, the forces of Anti-Terrorism and al-Hashed al-Shaabi fighters carried out today a major offensive on the region of Znkurh north of Ramadi,” noting that “the operation was accompanied by air cover from the Iraqi Air Force and the international coalition.”

The official, who asked anonymity, added: “Those troops have arrived to al-Sharaa Garage area and al-Taqwa Mosque,” adding that “this axis is one of the important axes to restore the city of Ramadi.”
