President Talabani mulls bilateral ties with Iranian amb.

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President Jalal Talabani discussed on Tuesday with Iranian ambassador bilateral relations, according to a presidential statement. “President Talabani received at his residence in Baghdad on Tuesday (Aug. 18) Iranian Ambassador to Iraq Hassan Kazemi Qomi, with whom he discussed ways of boosting bilateral ties,” said the statement received by Iraqi News. “Talabani updated the ambassador with Iraq ’s worries about Iraq ’s share of water and the assertion of forming a joint committee to organize the flow of water,” it added. “The meeting also tackled the environmental problems between the two countries,” it said.
