ISIS threatens Britain directly says UK Prime Minister

(IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, British Prime Minister David Cameron said that the organization of the Islamic state in Iraq and the Levant threatens directly the United Kingdom, calling to contain this crisis as soon as possible.

Cameron said in remarks for Sky News that “Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is part of a terrorism crisis represented by the organization of the Islamic state and the armed groups.”

Cameron explained that “NATO” will play a key role in the provision of global security; it will coordinate with the Syrian opposition to confront terrorism.

From his part, the Secretary General of NATO, Anders Fogh Rasmussen said “ I am confident that NATO would consider seriously any request for assistance forward by the Government of Iraq to counter the terrorist gangs ISIS.

These statements coincide with a meeting of NATO leaders in Wales, southern Britain, on Thursday, to discuss a range of issues spearheaded by the risk the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.
