Deir Ezzor (SyriaNews.media) The self-proclaimed Islamic State group shelled al-Qossour neighborhood, late yesterday, while clashes broke out between Syrian regime forces and the terrorist group in the vicinity of a military air base, a war monitor reported on Saturday.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) stated that a man was killed in al-Qossour neighborhood due to mortar shelling by the Islamic State on the area.

Meanwhile, army warplanes bombed several areas in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, late yesterday, but no casualties had been reported.

Also, clashes broke out between the Syrian government forces and the Islamic State militants in the areas of al-Haweka, al-Rasheediyah and Deir Ezzor Military Airbase, after the terrorist group attacked the area.

According to the observatory, more than 320 thousand persons died in the conflict since popular protests demanded President Bashar al-Assad to step down in 2011, before expanding to a wider war between government forces, extremist militias and international powers including the U.S.-led coalition, Russia, Iran and Turkey.
