(BasNews/ Syria News) The security forces of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), the Syrian wing of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), raided on Friday a village in Hasaka province of Rojava (Syrian Kurdistan) with dozens of military vehicles, and arrested many residents aiming at conscripting them.
A local official of the Syrian Kurdish National Council (ENKS) from Hasaka revealed to BasNews that PYD security forces raided on Friday the village of Karki Djouir of the city of Derik in the vicinity of Hasaka, where they launched a campaign of arrests against dozens of youths as well as middle-aged men to forcibly recruit them in the military.
The PYD gunmen led the campaign in a barbaric manner that has caused terror among the people, especially women and children, the official said, who preferred anonymity.
The source pointed out that the PYD armed men threatened to return to the village soon and arrest the elderly, in case the fleeing youths do not return home and surrender to the security forces.
