(IraqiNews.com) An official in the Spiritual Administration of Muslims in the European part of Russia announced launching of the first Channel for Muslims in the country during next August.

Russian sources quoted Deputy Chief of the SAM Damir Muktdenov as saying “It is scheduled to launch next August the channel for Muslims (R -TV) to be the first of its kind.”

“This project will be funded by the institution of (R-TV) referring to possibility of receiving some governmental support for this project,” he added.

The channel will be broadcasted by the most important player of the satellite television channels in Russia (Traycolor) UPI.
