Saudi team leaves Yemen, more truce talks expected
Sanaa – A Saudi delegation has left war-torn Yemen with an “initial agreement” on a truce and a commitment to hold a second round of talks with Iran-backed Huthi rebels, Huthi and government sources said Friday.
“There is an initial agreement on a truce that should be announced later on, if finalised,” a Huthi official told AFP on condition of anonymity, adding: “There is an agreement to hold another round of talks.” The information was confirmed by a government source.
The ICRC reported earlier that a major Yemen prisoner swap under way as first plane leaves.
