Shia al-Houthi rebels invade Army’s headquarters in Sanaa, Yemen
Yemen (IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, Al-houthis militants invaded the Yemeni Army’s General Headquarters, Army’s radio operations stations and the Ministerial Council’s building after failed negotiations with the government in Sanaa.
Al-Houthis Spokesman Mohamed Abdel Salam stated that the group took control over the Army’s General Headquarter after the Army’s First Corp vacated their positions and surrendered. According to Sky News, Yemeni Prime Minister Mohamed Salem has submitted his resignation today, and al-Houthis announced their willingness for armistice, but noted, they will not withdraw back and will remain in their positions.
