UN urges Saudi Arabia to stop the bombing of Sanaa airport in Yemen
(IraqiNews.com) United Nation called on the coalition led by Saudi Arabia to stop targeting Sanaa airport in Yemen, while the international organization is planning to run an airlift to transfer relief personnel from Djibouti to Yemen.
The Saudi foreign minister, Adel al-Jubeir said earlier that the Arab coalition that carries out air strikes in Yemen against Houthis “examine the possibility of a truce in specific areas to allow humanitarian access to the country.”
Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen, Johannes van der klaauw said in a statement, “The air strikes, which have targeted Sanaa International Airport runways over the past week, made it unfit for use.”
