URGENT: ISIS claims downing of Syrian government war plane over Raqqa

Raqqa (IraqiNews.com) On Tuesday, a military aircraft belonging to Syrian government forces crashed near the city of Raqqa in northern Syria, after it came under fire by rebel forces while conducting aerial bombardment of the area, according to reports from the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

Twitter accounts belonging to supporters of ISIS claimed that the plane was shot down due to anti-aircraft fire by ISIS.
