40 Members of PCs to be replaced in 8 provinces

Bagdad (IraqiNews.com) The Independent High Electoral Commission declared on Saturday to replace (40) members of the Provincial Councils of eight provinces according to the resolution of the Federal Court.The Deputy Chairman of the Electoral Commissioners Board, Katea al-Zubaei, reported in a statement received by IraqiNews.com ”The IHEC decided to replace the Provincial Councils’ members according to Federal Court resolution related to amend the seats distribution system in the provinces that are not associated to a region,” noting that ”The names of the members that will be replaced will be announced within two days.””The provinces whose members will be replaced are Baghdad, Salah-il-Din, Wasit, Babel, Diwaniya, Najaf, Anbar and Nineveh while the rest provinces are not included within the replacement resolution,” he concluded. \END\
