100 operations in vengeance for Bin Laden – al-Qaeda

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The so-called Iraqi Islamic State announced that 100 military attacks will be initiated in different parts of Iraq, pointing out that these operations are in “vengeance” for killing Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.  The statement, which was issued on 14 August instant and released on 19 August, said that the “third stage” had started in the middle of this month and ends the day after  the 100th operation.  According to the statement, the operations will include direct attacks, suicidal actions, bombs and weapons equipped with silencers.  Last Monday, suicidal operations and bombs struck a number of Iraqi provinces, leading to the deaths of 74, and 300 casualties.  Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden was killed following a U.S. military raid in Pakistan last May.  The so-called Iraqi Islamic State was formed at the end of 2006, comprising a number of armed groups, and adopted a great number of attacks in different parts of Iraq.
