68 AL vote observers in Iraq
BAGHDAD /Iraqi News The Arab League (AL) will dispatch 68 election observers to monitor Iraq’s parliamentary election scheduled for March 7, 2010, a source from the pan-Arab organization said on Friday. “The AL observers will be deployed inside and outside Iraq,” Naji Ahmed Shalgham, the AL representative in Iraq, told Iraqi News. He said that 30 of the observers will be deployed in 12 Iraqi provinces. “The other 38 will monitor Iraqi election in Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, UAE, Britain, Austria, Germany, the USA and Turkey,” he added.
