Abdulmahdi condoles with Turkish, Palestinian president over victims of Flotilla

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Vice President Adel Abdulmahdi sent Tuesday a letter to Turkish and Palestinian presidents expressing his condolences for the victims of the Israeli attacks on the Freedom Flotilla convoy that killed many volunteers including Turks, according to a presidential statement. “The vice president sent the cable to Presidents Abdullah Gul of Turkey and Palestinian Mahmoud Abbas, in which he asserted his strong condemnation of this irresponsible act by Israel,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. Several pro-Palestinian activists were killed and dozens were wounded aboard a relief flotilla bound for the Gaza Strip when Israeli naval commandos seized control of the boats in international waters on Monday.
