Acting Defense Minister discusses with his Iranian Counterpart, military cooperation
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Acting Defense Minister, Sa’doun al-Dulaimi, discussed with his Iranian Counterpart, the military cooperation and the ongoing Syrian crisis.
A special report received by IraqiNews.com cited “The Iranian Defense Minister, Hussein Dahqan expressed the readiness of his country to support and equip the Iraqi Army, assuring that the united and stable Iraq is a safety for the region.”
“He praised the cultural and social relations of the Iranian and Iraqi peoples,” the statement added, noting that “He described the visit of the Iraqi and Omani Defense Ministers to Iran as an indicator to Iran’s readiness to develop the regional cooperation in strategic ways.”
“He condemned the tensions and terrorist attacks in Iraq, urging the political blocs to unite to sustain security and stability to develop Iraq,” the statement concluded.
