Arab FMs acknowledge respect for Iraqis’ will to determine political future
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Arab foreign ministers on Saturday have stressed their respect for the will of the Iraqi people to determine their political future, according to an Iraqi Foreign Ministry statement. “On Saturday, Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari participated in the Doha-based Arab foreign ministers’ meeting, which aims to discuss draft resolutions before submitting them to the 21st Arab summit, scheduled to be held on March 30,” read the statement that was received by IraqiNews.com news agency. Draft resolutions and the agenda of the summit have been discussed during a closed meeting, the statement added. On the summit’s agenda are the Darfur conflict, the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir, as well as the Iraqi and Palestinian issues.
