Babel PC member gives up her retirement pension

Bebel (IraqiNews.com) Member of Babel Provincial Council of the Citizen bloc, Khitam Chilab gave up her retirement salary.

Chilab stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “My decision to give up my pension came in response to the call of the Religious Authority in Najaf and the masses’ demands which call to cancel the pensions of the MPs and members of the provincial councils.”

She assured that her cancelation for her pension is intended to embody the principle of the social justice and equality among the society classes.

The parliament Citizen bloc announced earlier that its MPs will give up their pensions.

On other hand, the Citizen bloc members at Baghdad Provincial Council announced on last Tuesday their cancelation for their pensions.
