Bafi calls to exploit anniversary of Prophet’s birth to unite Iraqi people’s sects

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Member of the parliamentary Endowments and Religious Affairs Committee, MP Hamid Bafi called to adopt the anniversary of the Prophet Mohamed’s birth as a basis to unite the Iraqi people’s communities and confront the terrorism and corruption at the state institutions.

Bafi cited in a statement received by IraqiNews.com “The Prophet Mohamed (peace be upon him) was a source of pleasure and mercy in all the people’s souls, hence we should take advantage of this occasion to unite our social components so as to be able to face the serious challenges, the material and intellectual terrorism and the political, administrative and financial corruption.”

“In this occasion we need to follow example of the Prophet in stressing the principles of kinship ties, friendship and social solidarity, also to instill the human rights principles,” he concluded.
