Barazani leaves for Kuwait on Gulf tour

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: President of Iraq’s Kurdistan region Massoud al-Barazani on Tuesday headed for Kuwait to discuss the political situation in Iraq and the region, according to an official source. “Barazani left Iraq’s Kurdistan on an official visit to Kuwait upon an invitation from the Kuwaiti government,” the official web site of Barazani quoted the Kurdistan presidential cabinet chief, Fouad Hussein, as saying. Afterwards, Barazani will head for Qatar upon an official invitation from its leader. “Barazani will discuss several issues with regards to the relations between the federal government and the Kurdistan region, and those between the two countries. He will meet with the presidents of both countries and several government officials,” according to Hussein.
