Batiekh: White bloc welcomes expected meeting between Maliki, Sadr

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Secretary General of the White bloc, Jamal al-Batiekh, stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The White bloc welcomes any meeting among the political leaders to settle the crisis.”

“The expected meeting between the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki and the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, is a positive step,” he added.

He assured that “The political process witnessed huge disputes recently yet the wisdom of the President, Jalal Talabani, and some other political figures eliminated them.”

“Any meeting will have positive results if it is adopted the democratic and civilized dialogues,” he continued.

“The political process needs the efforts of all sides to prioritize the dialogue and to avoid the tensed statements,” he concluded.

Some media reports mentioned that Maliki is going to meet Sadr soon to discuss political process.
