Urgent – .Talabani, Barzani negotiate to re-launch request of withdrawing confidence from Maliki

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Source close to the leader of the Iraqiya Slate, Ayad Alawi, revealed about negotiations being conducted currently between the President, Jalal Talabani and the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, to re-launch the request of withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.

The source told IraqiNews.com that “The consultations are taking place now between Talabani and Barzani about returning the request of withdrawing confidence from Maliki,” pointing out that “Barzani asked Alawi to join their meetings but the latter refused to attend them, justifying his refusal by saying “I will not join you unless you reach a specific decision about this issue.”

“The leader of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, after he arrived to Najaf, gave the green light for accepting this request, stressing “The forty votes (which were collected to withdraw confidence from Maliki) are still there,” the source concluded.
