Cabinet agrees to contribute to UNAMI new building

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s cabinet agreed in its 43rd session to contribute to constructing a new building for the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), a spokesman for the Iraqi government said on Sunday. “The contribution will be $25 million from the budget of 2009,” Ali al-Dabbagh said in a release that was received by IraqiNews.com. “The cabinet also agreed to sell the Iraqi presidential yacht (under Saddam Hussein), which is now in France, according to the regulations specified by the Iraqi ministries of finance and foreign affairs,” he said.
