Citizen MP accuses government to wasting 35 IQD Billion from 2013 Budget

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mohammed al-Lakash, of the Citizen bloc, accused the government of wasting 35 IQD Billion from 2013 General Budget as loans.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “There are huge amounts of money were spent in unknown way where the government has taken 35 IQD Billion from 2013 Budget as loans without specifying the mechanism of spending them and this issue happened in the former budgets as well.”

“We hoped to receive the final statements of 2012 Budget, but the government is unaware of the way that budgets are sent to the parliament,” he added.

“Delaying the endorsement of the Budget resulted in making problems in the performance of the projects where about 547 IQD Billion were spent in the last nine years without a clear mechanism,” he concluded.
