Demonstration in Kut demands manual recounting of votes

WASSIT /Iraqi News Tens of people who support the State of Law Alliance demonstrated on Thursday in central Kut city demanding to manually recounting votes that Iraqis casted in the country’s parliamentary election. “The demonstration comes after an invitation from the Dawa Islamic Party,” Mahdi Jabbar, one of the demonstrators, told Iraqi News. He said that mystery has colored the performance of the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) of Iraq regarding the process of votes counting.
