Deputy PM: Iraqi leaders to resolve pending issues
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Deputy Prime Minister Burham Saleh on Saturday said that key Iraqi leaders have agreed to settle outstanding issues. “Key leaders have met and agreed to resolve (contentious) political issues, including the provision of a definition of the nature of the state, the gas and oil issue, disputed areas and the security file,” Saleh said in a speech before a Baghdad-based conference on elite and competence-based management. Commenting on disputes between the central government in Baghdad and the Kurdistan Regional Government Kurdistan RegionG), Saleh said that the Iraqi constitution should be the ultimate reference to resolve all controversies. Earlier today, the Iraqi Elite and Efficiencies Conference (IEEC) launched its conference in the Iraqi capital with the participation of the Iraqi premier. Based in Baghdad, the Iraqi Elite and Efficiencies Conference is concerned with scientific, political, economic, social and educational affairs. SS (P) 1
