Diyala Governor calls for serious stance to improve security file in Diyala

Diyala (IraqiNews.com) The Governor of Diyala province, Hisham al-Hayali, called for a serious stance to improve the security file in the province.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he stated “Lately, some security breaches have occurred in all the provinces, but Diyala has witnessed more attacks and it has a critical situation where it suffered from the instable security situation in 2006 and 2007,” noting that “There should be a quick and urgent action to settle a big crisis that could be out of control in the province.”

“The other issue is the security breaches that happened due to the terrorist attacks such as the assassination attempts in Hadid area,” he pointed out “In the parliament session held on Sunday, the parliament and the Parliamentary Committee for Security and Defense in addition to a committee from the human rights have formed a committee to follow up with the security breaches and the means of avoiding them.”

“The committee will visit the prisons to meet the prisoners and host the security leaders in the parliament in order to show the reasons behind the last security breaches,” he concluded.
