Diyala PC members suspend their membership to protest security deterioration

Diyala (IraqiNews.com) Members of Diyala National Alliance suspended their membership in Diyala Provincial Council to protest the security deterioration on Monday.

The spokesman of the alliance, Qasim al-Maamori, assured in a press conference held at Diyala PC building “The bloc of Diyala National Alliance suspended membership in protest for security deterioration and marginalization.”

“In case we will not be involved in running the Local Government, the members of the Alliance will submit their resignations,” he added.

Six members of Iraqiya Slate of Diyala that involves the Governor suspended their membership protesting the security deterioration and the lack of political accord among the political blocs in Diyala PC in addition to the negative performance of the Local Government.
