(IraqiNews.com) The Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri called the Turkish government to withdraw its troops quickly and unconditionally from Iraq, while invited Ankara to convince the international community that it does not employ specific conditions to achieve particular goals.

Shukri said in his speech during the emergency meeting of Arab foreign ministers, which was held in Egypt, and followed by IraqiNews.com, “The fight against ISIS, al-Qaeda, al-Nusra Front and Ansar al-Shariah and other organizations, which is the duty of all of us, and there is no escape from greater coordination between us for the success of our mission.” .

Shukri stressed the need to “address the foreign intervention in the Arab countries,” explaining that, “The effort in fighting this terrorist phenomenon asks us as Arab countries to take the lead and play our role in the fight against the terrorism that is present on our territory.”

He added, “We support the Iraqi position and emphasize the need for the withdrawal of Turkish troops promptly without restrictions or conditions, or procrastination,” pointing out that “The Turkish government should make a great effort to convince the international community that its policy is consistent with international efforts to eliminate the terrorist organizations and not employing conditions which help in spreading extremism to achieve particular goals. ”

The Egyptian Foreign Minister also said, “The Turkish intervention in Iraq; a violation of the sovereignty and unequivocal violation of international norms and conventions.”
