Erbil meeting to substitute consultation session called for by Barzani

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mihsin al-Sadoun, of the Kurdistani Alliance announced that “The five-side meeting held in Erbil was a substitute for the consultation session called for by the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, earlier.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “Erbil meeting which involved a number of political figure was the session which is supposed to be held on next Monday.”

“The meeting served instead of the session especially after resulting in sending a message for the Iraqi National Alliance over the means of settling the current crisis,” he concluded.

Earlier, a meeting was held in Erbil involving the President, Jalal Talabani, the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, and the head of Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, as well as the head of the Iraqiya Slate, Ayad Allawi, to discuss the political crisis.
