FM receives copy of credentials of Bahraini amb.

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari received a copy of the credentials of Mr. Salah Al-Maliki , Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Baghdad. “The minister welcomed Ambassador Maliki, and praised the brotherly bilateral relations between Iraq and Bahrain and expressed the readiness of the Foreign Ministry to provide the necessary facilities and support the work of the Bahraini Embassy in Baghdad,” said the foreign ministry’s statement received by IraqiNews.com. “On his part, Ambassador Maliki expressed his Government’s support on building the new Iraq and thanked His Excellency the Foreign Minister’s readiness to assist the Bahraini embassy in the performance of its functions,” the statement added. Meanwhile, another statement of the foreign ministry said that Zebari received also a copy of the credentials of the Head of the Arab League delegation in Baghdad Ambassador Hani Khalaf. “Zebari expressed happiness of the step taken by the Arab League to appoint a representative in Iraq,” the statement added. He also highlighted the significant security improvement in Iraq which encourages the Arab and international diplomatic representation in the country. SH (S) 1
